Have high hopes for App.net
Well went and backed it and am glad to see that they have cleared the first hurdle…now the hard work begins. Also have requested access to the alpha. I decided to “claim” my twitter username (@deepthinking) though I was having an internal argument of sorts over this. As somewhere new I was thinking that it might be an opportunity to really start afresh and sign up under what I consider to be my alternate, and somewhat more “real” identity. But in end I decided to keep the handle I have had across all the other networks I’m on, save for Facebook (I think my friends and family would be confused).
So, hopefully I’ll be on the alpha soon and giving it a test.
